Scheme of FSO/RF automatic request retransmission protocol based on convex optimization

Abstract: Aiming at the problem of efficient and reliable data transmission of hybrid FSO/RF link, the cooperative optimized ARQ transmission model is investigated for hybrid FSO/RF link with binary phase shift key (BPSK) modulation schemes. Based on Gamma-Gamma model and Nakagami-m model for FSO atmospheric turbulence channel and RF fading channel respectively, the closed analytic expression of throughput and average packet error rate are derived for hybrid link. By adjusting the data retransmission ratio of FSO link and RF link, the data retransmission cooperation proportional coefficient of ARQ is achieved with convex optimization method. The throughput and average packet error rate performances are calculated and analyzed under different FSO channel turbulence strengths and RF channel fading factors. Numerical results show that the optimized ARQ dual-link retransmission cooperation strategy can effectively improve the reliability of hybrid link transmission and the performance of data throughput.

0 引 言
自由空間光(Free Space Optical,F(xiàn)SO)通信又稱為無線光通信,具有傳輸速率高、無頻譜許可、組網(wǎng)靈活和保密性高等優(yōu)點,然而氣象條件和大氣湍流效應(yīng)等因素嚴(yán)重制約FSO通信系統(tǒng)的全天候可用率性能[1]。將射頻(Radio Frequency,RF)鏈路與FSO鏈路進行優(yōu)勢互補結(jié)合,F(xiàn)SO/RF混合通信系統(tǒng)的異構(gòu)組網(wǎng)與高效可靠鏈路傳輸技術(shù),已成為當(dāng)前的一個熱點研究問題[2-4]。
