Abstract： The rapid improvement of IoT, big data, and new generation information technology has brought unprecedented impacts to traditional manufacturing. Industrial metaverse based on data, a key production factor, has attracted more and more attention. The construction of industrial metaverse has brought both opportunities and challenges to traditional manufacturing. This paper analyzes and discusses the background, current development and key technologies of industrial metaverse, takes an enterprise’s intelligent manufacturing metaverse platform and its AR/VR virtual simulation training system as an example to preliminarily explore its application in manufacturing, and gives suggestions for its future development.
